Knee length

accessories: keep to a minimum, as you want the dress to be a focal point like you said. little diamond-looking (dont have to be real 
) stud earrings would throw light on your face, making you look pretty and radiant, without clashing with your dress
nail polish: i would go with french nails – they’re chic, suit everything, and would match your dress. a very polished, classy and ‘high maintenance’ look
